In 2016, Veolia Korea acquired Dongyang Green Bio Co. Ltd. which is an organic waste treatment facility located in Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
Veolia started to operate the facility in February 2017, collecting and processing solid food waste to produce compost.
Moving towards carbon neutrality
Aiming our services to become energy-sufficient, DYGB installed 425 kW of solar panels on its roofs to produce green electricity in September 2022. 558 MWh of electricity will be produced, which accounts for 29% of DYGB’s energy needs, to power its operation.
By producing more local and carbon-free energy at our own facilities as well as supporting our customers for their ecological transformation journey, we move towards carbon neutrality.
