Veolia Korea Signs UPW Upgrade Deal with Magnachip Semiconductor

upselling for magnachip

Veolia Korea has signed a contract with Magnachip Semiconductor to upgrade the company’s ultra-pure water (UPW) systems.

The agreement focuses on a major water-quality enhancement to help meet increasingly stringent requirements in semiconductor manufacturing. A key element of the project is improved boron removal, enabled by the installation and operation of state-of-the-art C-EDI technology.

Installation is set to begin in the second half of this year. Full, optimized operation is scheduled to start in January 2027, with the upgraded system expected to remain in service through 2038.

Veolia said the upgrade will support greater efficiency and precision in Magnachip’s production processes and reflects the companies’ ongoing collaboration on advanced industrial solutions.
