On September 29th, CEO Hervรฉ PENEAU participated as a panelist in a special meeting with the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy(MOTIE), Kim Jeong-gwan, hosted by the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI) and the French-Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI).

The meeting was held for German, French, and other European companies in Korea to discuss ways to improve the domestic investment environment and expand economic cooperation, including foreign investment.

Minister Kim, who attended on behalf of Prime Minister Kim Min-seok, delivered a keynote speech in which he introduced Germany and France as close economic partners of Korea. He noted that they are creating challenges and opportunities together in future industries such as automotive, artificial intelligence (AI), and carbon neutrality.

"We are striving to create a business-friendly environment so that foreign companies can grow as partners in Korea's economic development," said Minister Kim. He added, "We will systematize our incentive systems, including cash grants, location support, and R&D, and continuously improve regulations to establish a globally competitive investment environment."

The panel discussion featured participants such as Hervรฉ Peneau, CEO of Veolia Korea; Annamaria Vogt, President of Boehringer Ingelheim Korea; Mathias Vaitl, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Korea; and Nicolas Poirot, CEO of Air Liquide Korea. They exchanged views on the investment environment in Korea, regulatory improvements, and other business challenges.
