Veolia Korea has delivered emergency relief funds to the Korean Committee for UNICEF to assist local communities and children affected by devastating floods in Nepal, caused by melting glaciers due to climate change.
The fundraising campaign was launched to support rapid recovery and aid displaced residents across hard-hit regions, including Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading. Building on the voluntary spirit demonstrated during the earlier relief efforts for the earthquake in Türkiye, 112 warm-hearted colleagues readily stepped forward to help those in need, with the company providing an official matching grant to amplify the impact.
The donated funds will support UNICEF’s comprehensive on-the-ground emergency relief operations, providing vulnerable children and families with clean water and sanitation, healthcare, nutritional support, and emergency education.
Veolia Korea remains committed to standing in solidarity with communities worldwide impacted by natural disasters and climate emergencies, fulfilling its social responsibilities as a global benchmark for ecological transformation.
