Veolia Korea has successfully renewed its Operation and Maintenance contract for the Seogwipo Waste-to-Energy (WTE) facility.
Since securing the initial contract in April 2017, Veolia has operated the facility with a strong focus on reliability and efficiency. Through exceptional operational performance and an unwavering commitment to safety, the company has earned consecutive contract renewals, further strengthening its deep trust and partnership with Seogwipo City.
The Seogwipo WTE facility processes 70 tons of waste daily, playing a vital role in the sustainable management of local waste. As Jeju Province advances toward a greener future, Veolia remains firmly committed to supporting the island's ecological transformation.
Veolia Korea will continue to safely operate the facility and actively support the region's environmental objectives until the planned transition to a new marine waste incineration facility in 2029.
